provisionally from seventh to third place

NOS Football–
The 15 match point deduction penalty imposed on Juventus earlier this season has been suspended by order of Italy’s highest sports court.
Juventus received that penalty because of financial malfeasance. For example, the club was allegedly not honest about transfer values of players in the past and secretly paid out players during the first months of the corona crisis, although “Juve” claimed that all players had surrendered four months of salary.
Between Lazio and AS Roma
An appeal has now ruled that the case must be heard again. Pending that ruling, the Turin club will get back the points taken away.
Juventus, which was seventh including the points deduction, now finds itself in third place in Serie A, between Lazio and AS Roma. AC Milan falls just outside the top four, which at the end of the league is assured of Champions League soccer next season.
