Bayern Munich has suspended striker Sadio Mané for one match for misconduct after the 3-0 Champions League match against Manchester City.

Mané punched teammate Leroy Sané in the locker room after the defeat. The disagreement between the two Bayern players had already started in the closing minutes on the pitch.

“Sadio Mané will not be in FC Bayern’s selection this Saturday against Hoffenheim,” the club reported. “The reason is bad behavior. On top of that, Mané will receive a fine.”

Multiple matches missed

The 31-year-old Mané transferred from Liverpool last summer. He missed several matches this season due to a leg injury and also the World Cup in Qatar with his country Senegal.

Mané scored six goals in the first seven games for Bayern, but since October he had not scored.
