Heracles Almelo continues to pant into the neck of frontrunner PEC Zwolle even after the thirtieth round of the first division. The number two of the league won 3-2 at home against low-flyer Den Bosch (eighteenth) and approaches Zwolle to within three points.

The Almeloërs went into halftime with a 3-1 lead through goals by Lucas Schoofs, Samuel Armenteros and an own goal by Teun van Grunsven. Rik Mulders was on target for Den Bosch.

Bossche hope

Because Nikolai Laursen missed a penalty for Heracles just before the halftime signal, Den Bosch still cherished hope in the second half. And Heracles did get a little tight when Nikolaj Moller scored the Bossche connection goal, but the home team did not suffer any further damage.

PEC and Heracles are heading for promotion to the premier league, as the numbers one and two promote. The gap between number two Heracles and number three Almere City is currently fourteen points.
