Two consecutive train derailments cause confusion in the U.S.

United States has lived in the last few hours two railway derailments in different parts of the country: one in Arizona and in the state of Washington. Still the reasons are unknown of both accidents are unknown, what we do know is that they were freight trainsone from Burlington Northern and the other from the Santa Fe Railway.

The Washington derailment occurred on a dock along Padilla Bay on the Swinomish Tribal Reservation. near Anacortes. Emergency crews continue to investigate these events which, fortunately, left no one injured.

It is estimated that as consequence of the accident in Washingtonwere about 19,000 liters of diesel which were discharged into the area, although there are no reports that they affected the groundwater. nor have they damaged the fauna in the area.

According to federal data, there are an average of three train derailments per day in the US.but relatively few create catastrophes.
