Messi in-law’s supermarket shelled in Argentina: ‘We are waiting for you’

NOS News–
Top soccer player Lionel Messi has received a sinister message in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina. Armed men opened fire in the early morning on a supermarket owned by his in-laws. In doing so, they left a message on a piece of cardboard for the footballer: “Messi, we are waiting for you.”
According to police, the men shot at least 10 times from a motorcycle at the supermarket. No one was injured in the attack. It is unclear why the gunmen targeted Messi or his in-laws.
Commenting on the attack, Rosario Mayor Javkin lashed out at provincial and national authorities. He blamed politicians for negligence in dealing with drug crime in his city. “We have been talking about these types of incidents for years, all of which have one thing in common: no prosecution, no action, no confrontation.”
‘Javkin is a drug dealer’
The message left by the gunmen also mentioned the mayor. “Javkin is also a drug dealer, so he won’t protect you,” read the second sentence on the piece of cardboard addressed to the soccer player.
Messi has not yet responded to the incident. He plays for French club Paris Saint-Germain and therefore spends most of his time in Paris.
