NOS Football–
Leaders PEC Zwolle lost for the fifth time in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. The Zwollenaren gave away a 2-0 lead in the away match against MVV Maastricht and lost 3-2. For PEC it was the eighth match of the 26 that did not yield a win.
Haris Medunjanin put the Zwolle players in the lead in the 13th minute, and not much later Younes Taha made it 0-2, on a pass from Medunjanin. It looked like it was going to be an easy night for PEC, but things turned out differently.
Orhan Dzepar reduced the deficit to one goal after half an hour. In the 81st minute, Belgian Koen Kostons equalized. He was beautifully served by Nabil El Basri, bypassed goalkeeper Jasper Schendelaar and fired a controlled shot.
Gold medalist El Azrak
Substitute Rayan El Azrak gave MVV a surprise victory in the 95th minute, working the ball into the empty goal after the outgoing Schendelaar was caught off guard by a header from Kostons.
PEC is still 3 points ahead of No. 2 Heracles, which was too strong for Telstar by as much as 7-0 on Friday. Number 3 Almere City has 8 points less than Heracles. The best two teams promote directly to the Eredivisie.
The duel between Jong PSV and Jong AZ did not produce a winner. It ended 3-3 in Eindhoven.
