Saint-Brevin-les-Pins: the JOA Casino is completely redesigning its gaming area

The JOA Casino in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins, located along the Boulevard de l’Océan, has proceeded to the reorganization of its gaming room. Indeed, due to the installation of the latest slot machines, the employees, assisted by external technicians, have proceeded to a vast “mix”.

We took advantage of the arrival of new slot machines to completely rethink the game space. So on Tuesday, April 26, we moved 98% of the gaming stations. And we also redefined some areas, adjusted the brightness of the rooms… “, explains Guillaume Despringre, director of the establishment managed and operated by the JOA Group.

It’s worth noting that casinos typically rearrange two to three times a year, especially before the start of the summer season. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and health constraints, the JOA Casino in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins had not been able to move anything…” Today we want to create a break with Covid. We want customers to think that the pandemic is over, that our casino offers them something totally new. It’s kind of a fresh start “, confides Guillaume Despringre.

Two new slot machines and eight others replaced

Redesigning the casino’s gaming floor was no small task. Trenches had to be dug with a jackhammer to run power cables. And while two new slot machines were installed and eight others replaced, six or seven terminals were destroyed in accordance with current protocol.

To do this, in accordance with the regulations, fifteen days before the date of operation, a declaration was sent to the Gaming Police and the Ministry of the Interior. From then on, they are technicians approved by the aforementioned ministry that came to install the new devices and connected them to the computer network.

As for the slot machines destined for destruction, their motherboards were removed and returned to the manufacturer. The counters were taken under the supervision of a judicial police officer, the plates were recovered and the serial numbers seized. Then, the machines were destroyed on the spot with the help of a skip. They will be sent very soon to a recycling center.
