AJA-UNI | 57′ Two times danger from Union
The second half is a lot more energetic than the first. After a strong start by Ajax now two opportunities for Union. First Rulli saves on a free kick, then on a header by Thorsby.
Rashford quickly equalizes
Who else but Marcus Rashford quickly put Manchester United back on level terms. Also able to cross, the striker shot into the short corner. Goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen did not look good.

AJA-UNI | Second half with Brobbey
In his short career as Ajax head coach, John Heitinga does not hesitate to make changes at halftime. This time, too, he intervenes. Brian Brobbey comes into the team for Owen Wijndal. As a result, Kenneth Taylor drops to the left to replace Wijndal and Brobbey strengthens the attack, just as he did last Saturday halfway through the game with RKC Waalwijk.
Hero in Argentina, but PSV side Sevilla haven’t seen ‘true Montiel’ yet
In Argentina, he has been a national hero since the World Cup, but at his club Sevilla FC, Gonzalo Montiel has yet to convince. The right back will start on the bench Thursday night in the Europa League match with PSV. Sevilla does have a starting place for Serbian Nemanja Gudelj, who played in the Netherlands for NAC Breda, AZ and Ajax. Gudelj, is central in defense.
PSV lineup: Til and Saibari in the starting lineup
PSV coach Ruud van Nistelrooij has changed his eleven against Sevilla in two places. Compared to Saturday’s 6-0 Eredivisie game against FC Groningen, left winger Thorgan Hazard and right winger Johan Bakayoko have disappeared from the starting lineup. The pair are on the reserve bench in Spain, however.
Guus Til and Ismael Saibari may join from the start this time. Til forms a midfield with Ibrahim Sangaré and Joey Veerman. Xavi Simons moves up a line and is now at right back. Saibari starts up front from the left. PSV’s starting eleven is otherwise unchanged.
FC Barcelona – Manchester United 0-0
Shachtar Donetsk – Stade Rennais 2-0
Red Bull Salzburg – AS Roma 0-0
A mediocre first half without a goal attempt by Ajax against Union Berlin. The Germans are the better and also more dangerous team in Amsterdam.

Pedri drops out at Barcelona
A bummer for FC Barcelona. Pedri left the field even before halftime. With Sergio Busquets also already in the sack, coach Xavi is thus already missing two important midfielders.
FC Barcelona – Manchester United 0-0
The first chance is for Union. Morten Thorsby is still blocked by Devyne Rensch, but after weak Ajax defense, Jérôme Roussillon then gets the chance to strike out. The Frenchman shoots a meter wide.
Meanwhile in Barcelona: midfielder Weghorst misses chance
Wout Weghorst, who remarkably plays mostly in midfield, misses a great opportunity at Camp Nou. Eye-to-eye with Marc-André ter Stegen, he fails to score. He shoots the ball on the leg of the German goalkeeper.
FC Barcelona – Manchester United 0-0
Jankto after coming out: reaction from teammates fantastic
Czech soccer player Jakub Jankto is glad he told people he is gay. “It was a difficult decision. Looking back on it, I’m glad I did it,” the 27-year-old Getafe midfielder, who is on loan to Sparta Prague this season, told Czech radio. “A few months ago I already told my teammates in the locker room. The reactions were very positive. They took it seriously.”
Jankto is currently the only player in the highest leagues in Europe to come out for his homosexuality. The 45-time international came out first to his family a year and a half ago and then to his best friend. This week, he also chose to share it with the soccer world. “I want to be an example to others and show that you can just keep playing soccer,” said Jankto, who has a three-year-old son with his ex-girlfriend.
After Jankto’s coming-out, the soccer player received a lot of support online, including from FIFA, UEFA and top clubs such as FC Barcelona and Arsenal. “The reactions were overwhelming, which makes it a lot easier for me,” Jankto said.
