After he begins dating a woman named CeCe, Patrick Brown begins receiving several strange phone calls.

Two Days Before Valentine’s Day of 2016

When Rebecca Lawson found out her on-again-off-again boyfriend Patrick Brown was sleeping with another woman, she shot them both. Authorities say 26-year-old Rebecca Lawson shot Patrick Brown, age 35, at 3449 South Lyndhurst Drive in Indianapolis when she saw another woman’s car parked outside his house.

Before the fatal shooting, Rebecca Lawson texted Patrick Brown, suggesting she’d bring dinner. He put her off by saying he had to work late. Suspicious, Rebecca drove to his home and saw that he had company. Patrick told her she needed to leave. Instead of leaving, Rebecca Lawson insisted that she get her things inside the house. As she started to leave, CeCe Land came outside and raised her arms in the air in a confrontational manner. After leaving, Rebecca texted Patrick again and told him that Cecelia Land needed to go.

That’s when police say Rebecca Lawson went back to the house and placed her gun in her lap because CeCe Land had previously threatened to kick her a*s.”

Court records show that CeCe Land walked up to Lawson’s car. Lawson told her, “I have a gun and a gun permit,” and Land said, “I don’t give a sh*t.” Patrick Brown saw the gun and tried to grab it and told her he’d “rip that mother f***ker out of her hand. Rebecca shot Patrick in the chest, and as CeCe Land approached the car with an object in her hand, Rebecca Lawson shot her twice in the face. She claimed she shot them because she feared for her life. Police say the object turned out to be a cell phone.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Brown was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. CeCe Land was also hospitalized. She eventually recovered from her injuries. 911 was dispatched to the area, and Rebecca Lawson turned herself in without incident. Three small children, who’ll forever be traumatized by this scene, were inside the house when the shooting started. Watch Primal Instinct: “Evil Eye” tonight at 9 p.m. on ID.
