Leah Marie Carlos: Louisiana Woman Found Dead, Shot To Death, Investigation Pending


Leah Marie Carlos (Leah Carlos), of Thibodaux, Louisiana, was found dead in a home in Schriever, according to police. Leah Marie Carlos, age 40, had been shot to death. Now, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s detectives are trying to unravel clues in her killing, according to the Gadsden Times.

At around 6 p.m., The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office got a call from workmen that a dead body was inside a home in the 200 block of  North Main Project Road. When detectives arrived they found the woman, later identified as Leah Carlos, with a gunshot wound to the body. An autopsy is currently pending. Police are investigating her death as a homicide.

Friends describe Leah Marie Carlos as a nice and loving person. According to Leah Carlos’ Facebook page, she attended Thibodaux High School in 1995 and worked as a chef at LC’s Home Cooking in 2012. Leah posted the following on her social media page.


“May have lost my place now… haven’t forgotten my way home….falling apart.”
