To Ashley and Mike, the beautiful backdrop and the fresh air are intoxicating–just the way Ashley remembers when she spent time there as a child. Though her sister died at the resort two decades before, it’s still a special place. And it’s the perfect setting for a romantic island adventure.
As Mike and Ashley explore the island, Ashley finds a charming ankle bracelet. Instantly, she connects to it and decides to keep it. But when the bracelet vanishes, then suddenly reappears, the suspicious wife-turned-sleuth has a strange feeling that Johnny, the hunky maintenance man stole it from her master suite.
Her suspicions about Johnny seem spot on when she learns from a local pub owner that he suspects Johnny in the disappearances of two women on the island. Now, Ashley fails to focus on rekindling the passion in her marriage. Instead, she sinks deep into a world of intrigue until a shocking truth is revealed.
The crime drama aside, there are tender moments in this deadly destination film between Ashley and her husband. We see a couple who struggles to reconnect because Ashley can’t get past her insecurities regarding Mike’s infidelity. Soon, the couple discovers they must start a new relationship, rather than trying to rebuild the old one. A raw layer is exposed as Ashley and Mike work through a tough, real-life situation.
