A night out dancing turns tragic when a woman disappears and is later found floating in a canal swarming with alligators.

Swamp Murders’ crime documentary will revisit that day in 1989 when Tina Hendricks’ sister woke up to find she was missing. She knew Tina Hendricks had gone out the night before with friends and was anxious to hear about her night out after she returned.

The worried woman began making phone calls to friends, who say they hadn’t heard from her. Tina was not the kind of woman who would disappear without making contact with her family. Tina Hendricks’ sister learned that the woman who was supposed to go with Tina that night didn’t go because she had to work.

Everyone who knew Tina Hendricks said she was a very responsible young lady who knew how to work hard. However, money and car problems made it difficult for her. Everyone was hoping she hadn’t accepted a ride from a stranger since she didn’t want to burden the family.

Detectives soon learned that Tina Hendricks made it to the club where witnesses last saw her talking to a Hispanic man named Mark Olvera, 28. Witnesses also say they saw Tina walk out of the establishment with Olvera.
