Steve Harvey ‘Master Class’: OWN Viewers Can’t Deny Success, But Some Side With Heartbroken Ex Wife, Mary

Steve Harvey’s Master Class on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, airs tonight, according to Essence. The preview for the class has caused quite a conversation between viewers who don’t think Steve Harvey is a role model and those who believe the comedian isn’t responsible for anyone’s lack of success in life. Citing rumors based on statements made by Mary Shackelford, Steve Harvey’s second wife, some say he “did her dirty” and is now profiting while his bitter and heartbroken ex isn’t doing as well.

Still, Oprah knows a master when she sees one. Without a doubt, Oprah’s Master Class featuring Steve Harvey will be packed with brilliant and useful information to help viewers.

Oprah’s Master Class: Steve Harvey

Steve Harvey’s Master Class on OWN will most likely omit any discussion about Mary. Instead, the positively-focused tv show explores Steve’s many successes in life.

Steve Harvey was married to Mary Shackelford from 1996-2005, according to Black Entertainment Network (BET). After the relationship soured, the couple’s divorce played out in the public, causing everyone with an opinion to choose sides.

Steve Harvey's ex wife, Mary Vaughn, is suing him for $60 million. She says he murdered her soul.

Even more troubling, they believe Steve Harvey set things in motion to land her in jail, causing Mary to be labeled as the “crazy ex-wife.” According to her supporters, she lost everything, including her child.

It also angered women who believed Steve Harvey left Mary for his alleged mistress, Marjorie Bridges-Wood, a woman who later became his third wife.

Despite the accusations, a judge made it plain that Steve Harvey’s third wife, Marjorie, the woman who polished and refined him, did not break up his marriage. The judge also made it clear Mary didn’t lose her child, and Steve didn’t cause her to be left without a home, according to CNN.
