However, it was all a hoax designed to cover her tracks as the killer. Charmella Terry Morris is currently serving a life sentence in a Pennsylvania prison.

Fatal Attraction episode “In the Dead of Night”

When a hardworking father is found dead in his bedroom, police believe the crime is a tragic home invasion. However, as secrets come tumbling out, detectives untangle a web of deceit which reveals a shocking truth about someone close to home.

Investigators were called out to a home in the 100 block of Chester Avenue in  Coatesville in June of 2003. They found the body of a black male positioned on his knees with the top half of his body bent over on the bed. His hands were bound with a cell phone cord. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Damario Morris, a man affectionately known as “Blaze.”

Damario Morris’ wife, Charmella Morris, told detectives that two intruders had entered the home and killed her husband. Then, she said they fled the scene in her stolen vehicle, which they later set ablaze, Fatal Attraction will reveal.

As police sifted through the details of the case, Charmella Morris’ story just didn’t add up. Plus, her own background was disturbing, causing police to focus in on her as a possible suspect.

The investigation revealed that Charmella Morris was an unfaithful wife, who often took on multiple lovers. Her latest one was a much younger man with a troubled past named Ryheem Matthews, 20. The relationship between Ryheem and the former counselor began when he was 18 years old, according to the Daily Local.

And Ryheem wasn’t the only one. Another former lover told police that Charmella was once very much in love with Damario Morris, but over time, that changed, and Charmella Morris began looking for extracurricular activities. All evidence eventually led police back to Charmella Terry Morris as Damario Morris‘ killer.

On Fatal Attraction, viewers will hear that Damario Morris worked hard and was a loving father, who was quickly moving up the ranks at the plant where he worked. Relatives say Charmella Morris didn’t have to do this to him. She could have just left him so his children would still have a father.

At trial, Charmella Morris didn’t show an ounce of remorse. In fact, she was defiant and denied doing anything to harm her husband. Despite her incarceration, Charmella has a Facebook page under the name Charmella Terry Morris, which includes 29 friends and two public photos of her in prison.

Ryheem Matthews was eventually released from prison. The story of Charmella and Damario Morris airs on Fatal Attraction tonight at 10/9 p.m. Central on TV One.
