‘Love At The Shore’: Hallmark Summer Beach Movie Stars ‘Happy The Dog’ In Debut

Love at the Shore is a romantic family beach movie that is scheduled to air on the Hallmark Channel tonight. The heartwarming comedy is about an author and single mother who heads to the beach with her children where she meets a handsome surfer and his dog Tank. Love at the Shore is directed by Steven R. Monroe.

The story and teleplay credits go to Laura Gasbarro and Nicole Baxter. Love at the Shore is part of Hallmark Channel’s ‘Summer Night Romance’ programming. For this feature film, Hallmark producers chose Happy the Dog to play the role of Tank. Love at the Shore also stars Amanda Righetti as Jenna and Peter Porte as Lucas.

In Love at the Shore, Hallmark viewers meet Jenna Thompson, an author and single mother of two. Jenna is a talented writer who is successful and driven. However, the busy mom needs a change of scenery and inspiration to write her next popular teen novel.

With a deadline looming ahead, Jenna has just a few weeks to finish the book. In need of relaxation, Jenna travels to the beach so her children can play while she writes.

Hallmark fans will see the beautiful ocean backdrop, along with the sounds of strong winds and crashing waves on the shore. It’s the perfect setting for Jenna to pen her upcoming novel.

However, Jenna’s vacation takes a turn when she is housed next to Lucas McKinnon, a handsome jock-type who loves loud music and beach parties on the patio. The problem is–Lucas has to share the patio with Jenna and her children, Nick and Ally.

There is one more thing Jenna has to endure–Lucas’ annoying dog, Tank. Soon, the tides change when Jenna sees that Nick and Ally love Tank. Jenna is also impressed with how well Lucas relates to her children. As Lucas spends more time with Jenna’s family, romantic sparks fly, making it difficult for them to part at summer’s end.

Love at the Shore was filmed in the picturesque town of Savannah, Georgia. The TV movie is produced by Crown Media Family Networks and Cartel Pictures. Stan Spry is the executive producer, and Anthony Fankhauser is the co-executive producer. Viewers can see “Happy the Dog,” a fluffy Jack Russell Terrier mix, in his movie debut on Hallmark channel tonight at 9/8 p.m. Central.
